Dr Michael Bloch

Homeopathy has been part of my life since I was a child. My mother was a homeopath, and I grew up immersed in it - raised on homeopathic treatment and, without realising it at the time, absorbing a way of thinking about health and healing that would stay with me.
Before becoming a homeopath, I studied architecture. I was drawn to the profession through the creativity and problem-solving it demanded. Over time, I realised I wanted to channel that same creative instinct into something more personal - helping people directly and deeply. That realisation led me to Durban University of Technology, where I completed a Master’s degree in Homeopathy (cum laude) in 2002.
Today, this creativity shows up differently: in how I listen, interpret, and respond to each patient as a unique individual. I use individualised, homeopathic treatment to support relief, recovery, and long-term healing. I believe real healing comes from understanding a person's whole story - not just their symptoms. That's why I take time to look beneath the surface: at what an illness might mean for someone, and the deeper patterns and meaning behind it.
I have a particular passion for helping children. In 2015 and 2016, I travelled to Holland to train in the PresentChild Method and CEASE Therapy, both of which have become valuable parts of my practice.
Homeopathy is a field that keeps evolving, and so do I. I'm committed to continually learning new methods, remedies, and approaches - for the benefit of my patients, and to keep growing in my own practice. I've come to see healing itself as a creative process, one that's shaped anew with every patient. It's a thread that runs through the rest of my life too, whether I'm playing music, making jewellery, or working on a design project.
